Spot the Paligap Sponsored Ayr United Shirt

Recently Gary Lineker was featured in a BBC advert wearing the beautifully minimalist Paligap sponsored Ayr United strip.

Have a look at this YouTube video and see if you can spot it.

The making of the advert is after the slot. Looks sore!

A Sparkling Gem

Paligap is pleased to announce the launch of the Laings of Glasgow's new website.

Laings, Glasgow's most prominent jeweller has been on the Paligap clients list for some years now and when they approached us a couple of months ago to refresh the look and feel of the site, we jumped at the chance and got straight to work.

The first thing we did, as we do on all websites, is look at usability.

The size of a site can have a dramatic effect on user experience and we wanted to keep the navigation system easy to find your way around, intuitive and concise.

The next issue was showcasing jewellery and watches on a web page. You might think that this is not really that big a deal, but this is Laings' jewellery. We are talking diamonds and watches approaching £100,000! So layout and look and feel were top of the brief and we decided on a white background and neutral colourways so that the product could speak for itself.

The site is one hundred percent dynamic, allowing Laings administration to control all the product, text and images across the whole site.

The end result is a dramatically enhanced user experience that positions Laings of Glasgow as "top drawer" online.

Dumfries Estate - Habitat Survey Sponsored by Paligap

Paligap have sponsored a very important habitat survey at Dumfries House which will help protect and support the local environment.

The Estate comprises a wide range of different natural habitats providing rich biodiversity and abundant wildlife.  With The Great Steward of Scotland's Dumfries House Trust's ethos and responsibility to these habitats in mind a detailed and comprehensive survey is being undertaken to identify the key habitats and species on the Estate.  With natural habitat including productive farmland, meadows, woodland and watercourses a number of rare and endangered species are thought to be prominent.

Mike Schafer, CEO, The Great Steward of Scotland's Dumfries House Trust said
"This survey will enable the management of the Estate to address and improve the important habitats preserving the species and benefiting the biodiversity to ensure maximum environmental benefit, not only to the estate but to the surrounding area.
This survey has been made possible by the kind generosity of Paligap Brands who are supporters of the work at Dumfries House in protecting the environment."

Allan Sloan, Technical Director, Paligap said
"We are glad to do our bit for the environment and when we can blend that with helping out such an important national treasure like Dumfries House, it makes it all the more special."

Paligap sign for Ayr United

Paligap is pleased to announce that it has signed a deal to become the official Ayr United home and away shirt sponsors for the season 2008-2009.

Paligap's managing director, Stephen Cosh said,
"We are delighted to team up with Ayr United to become the 2008/2009 season shirt sponsor. Although Paligap has grown to become a national marketing agency, our roots remain firmly in Ayr and we are proud to support our local club. I believe the agreement offers both organisations many exciting benefits and we look forward to a fruitful partnership in the coming season."

Over the past few years Paligap has actively engaged in sponsoring and promoting local initiatives and charities and we were keen to be involved with AUFC as we feel strongly that football plays an important role in the local community. The board at Ayr United are keen to promote football as a family event and they already work at grass roots level with South Ayrshire Council, actively encouraging youth to take up the sport.

Hugh Cameron, Commercial Director Ayr United said,
"Ayr United are pleased to announce that Paligap will be our shirt sponsors for 2008/09. The club is delighted to have attracted such an outstanding and successful company, who combine a strong local presence here in Ayr and South Ayrshire while developing their business nationally. The company with its expertise in marketing and creative communication will be a valuable partner as we best meet the challenge of celebrating the end of an era here at Somerset park, and the preparation for the new beginning at the Ayr Stadium, Sports & Business Campus at Heathfield."
